Carrie Hatfield is an interior designer in Dallas who started her own business in the spring of 2003. She got her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design at Texas Christian University in the spring of 1999. As an intern for David Cadwallader during college, she was inspired by his work and began to see design as a long-term career. She spent her early years out of school working in a local antique store before moving to Austin where she got an incredible opportunity to work for Roy Materanek of RWM Design. In this role she was able to work on several high-end residential projects and gain the experience and knowledge she would need to work on her own. Moving back to Dallas, she went to work for Fort Worth based architect John Sheffield and spent the next five years working on various residential and commercial projects. Carrie is an active member of the American Society of Interior Designers, the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners and the National Council for Interior Design Qualification.
She continues to work mostly on residential interiors. She describes her work as keeping with classic and traditional design elements but combining them with a modern, clean aesthetic. She strives to give each project a very custom approach, and always focuses on creating functional and beautiful spaces with incredible detail.
Carrie lives in Dallas with her husband Reed and their daughters, Claire, Cate and Virginia.
